Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Scripture Scroll app (“the app”) made by Lamplight Studio (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. Using the app
The app is free for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app itself, or use it in a way that breaks the law or harms the app or other people.
2. Bible text
The Bible translations in the app are in the public domain: the King James Version (KJV), the World English Bible (WEB) and the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). You are free to use the verses themselves as you wish.
3. Your notes and saved verses
Your notes, likes and bookmarks stay on your phone and belong to you. Because they are not backed up by us, they are lost if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
4. The app’s name, logo and design
The Scripture Scroll name, logo, design and code belong to Lamplight Studio and may not be used without our permission. Verse pictures you create with the Share feature are yours to share.
5. No warranty
We work hard to make the app accurate and reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors. The app is for reading and personal devotion and is not professional advice of any kind.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lamplight Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
7. Privacy
How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The latest version is always on this page, with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
